
The first snapshots from Call of Duty: World at War, the fifth installment in the famous shooter series from Activision, have just reached us. This month has brought a few preliminary details about the game. So, for now, we know that Call of Duty 5 will be returning to the World War II setting and that the game utilizes the powers of the Call of Duty 4 engine.
It was uncovered that CoD 5 is “set in the Pacific theater and partially in Russia’s advance into Berlin.” They’re also saying that the new CoD offers a darker and scarier experience this time around.
The AI take advantages of the environment – “instead of taking cover and flanking in traditional European battle strategies, the Japanese hide in trees, sneak through the overgrowth and scrabble, katana in hand in violent suicide attacks.”
