Microsoft and Bungie have made a press release which details everything gamers can expect to see from Bungie next Monday, or ?Bungie Day? as July 7?s commonly known.
The new Halo 3 map Cold Storage will be made available for free and the Legendary Map Pack will be dropped in price for a day, but additions include gamer pics and a dashboard theme too! There?s also a hint that something bigger may be on the way, with Microsoft mentioning that a ?surprise? is traditional for the event.
“The tradition of Bungie Day was born in part due to the significance the number 7 has played in all of Bungie’s games over the years, including the “Halo” series (7 Halo rings, Master Chief is Spartan 117, etc.), and each year the developer makes a point to use this date to treat fans to something special ? usually new content, a free download or other surprise.”
